Welcome back to the Tortie of the Week newsletter and we are delighted to feature Xena who lives with her owner Meagan.

Xena is a ten year old tortie with ALL the tortitude. She is Meagan’s shadow and follows her almost everywhere.

She loves to talk pretty constantly, and in particular likes to talk balk - especially when you’ve pet her “wrong”, when she’s in your lap and you’re not petting her to her liking, she will stand up only with her back legs and repeatedly slam her butt into your body until you continue to pet her again! She is a girl who knows what she likes!

Her favorite foods are EVERYTHING (she’d eat all day if she was allowed). Her ultra faces are shrimp (can’t have it anywhere without her little black nose, peeking over the counter, sniffing at you) and then she screams until she gets some or ALL of your shrimp!

The bread has to be kept in the cabinet because she’s a carb loading kitty. She loves her carbs. If the bread isn’t locked up, Meagan will wake up to a loaf on the floor ripped open and bites taken out of the whole top of the loaf.

She loves to hunt leaves in the backyard, hunt twist ties and roll on her catnip banana. She likes to play with her brothers, but only when SHE feels like it.

Meagan rescued her when she was about 5 weeks old and has been with her ever since.
