Our Tortie of the Week is Twilight, or Twe for short who lives with her owner in Virginia.

She is a twenty-two pound mainecoone who definitely has tortitude! She traveled all the way from Alabama to Virginia via plane, from her breeder Mitzi Guess when she was a tiny kitten.

It was a boiling hot night in July but when she arrived home she rolled right out of her carrier and announced she was ready to play!

She is very sweet and affectionate - she doesn’t like to cuddle but always sits by her owner and likes belly rubs. She’s not a diva but can be a silly bear and a stubborn one.

Twe hates going in her carrier to the vet (like most torties) and definitely makes her presence known - she can’t be coaxed. She’s not adventurous but likes to play with the light beam toy or play fetch.

She adores cat TV and prepares herself to watch every morning. She views the mice on tv as her toys just like she views live ones; once here was a live field mouse in the house - she did not pursue it (as the other cat in the house, also a mainecoon would have) but simply could not comprehend why the mouse would not play with her!

She’s afraid of the ceiling fan and thinks it’s a bird of prey coming for her. She's a wonderful cat and valued member of the family!
