Tilly is Tortie of the Week

Our Tortie of the Week is Tilly who lives with her owner Jaze in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Tilly

Tilly was born on April 21st 2023 and she and one of her brothers were adopted at Lakeshore Humance Society in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Tilly’s brothers are named Zephyr (orange tabby) and Frankie (kitten, grey tabby)

Her favorite toy is nicknamed ‘bird-mouse’, which is a mouse toy with a feathered tail that got chewed off. ‘Bird Mouse’ also only has one eye left!

Tilly is an absolute sweetheart but she does have her ‘tortie-tude’ moments. Jaze gave her the nickname “Princess Tortoiseshell Diva of Shadows”, which she will respond to instead of her name sometimes.

More about Tilly

She’s very skittish and gets afraid when someone walks towards her (especially with shoes on), but will go back to having a confident tail if you say her name.

She loves playing with her kitten brother Frankie, but will start complaining when he gets too rough. One of her tactics is to hide in dark places, especially since she not only can fit but has more black fur than orange cream. The downside is that the orange on her face gives it away!

Since Tilly is an indoor cat, she has picked up on a hobby of hunting insects, specifically fruit flies and stink bugs. One time she ate a stink bug and spit it out on Jaze’s pillow like the sweet girl she is..

Thanks to Jaze for sharing details of Tilly and look out for her picture on our X, Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also check out tortie videos on our You Tube channel.
