Pepper is Tortie of the Week
She loves to play hide and seek!

Pepper is Tortie of the Week
Congratulations to Pepper, our Tortie of the Week who is four years old and lives with her owner Stephanie and her family in North Carolina.

Pepper
Pepper was adopted from a local animal rescue centre, Second Chance Pet Adoptions. She was the only girl in a litter with four brothers.
Stephanie adopted Pepper to join the family and be sister with their other rescue cat, Nutmeg, a gorgeous medium haired Calico.
Pepper is an extremely smart cat. She loves to play fetch and sit near the window. Her favorite items to fetch are a small craft fuzz ball and a curled-up pipe cleaner.
She will bring one item to her human and let out a little meow on the way to let them she’d like to play fetch. Fetch is really the only time she talks. Otherwise, she is pretty quiet.

More about Pepper
Pepper also loves to play hide and seek. She will behind curtains or chairs and jump out at anything that walks by. Normally, her tail gives away her hiding spot, but that doesn’t stop her from trying.
She is also an expert seeker. You can let her know it’s time to play and then run and hide. Once you peek out from her hiding spot, your eyes will catch hers, and you’ll know you’ve been spotted.
She is an expert napper and knows how to block out the noise of the world. She buries her head, face first, into pillows and cat tower beds. It is adorable.
Pepper does not snack. She will no try any treats outside of her regular dry cat food.. When tuna water is offered, her sister comes running at the sound of the can opener but not Pepper. She will come when called but offers her snack to her sister, Nutmeg.
She knows what time breakfast and dinner are and is trained to sit before eating. If a meal is ever late, she will sit near the bowl and wait; if her human is sleeping, she will sit on them as a reminder to feed her.
Thanks to Stephanie for sharing all of these details about Pepper and look out for her picture on our X, Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also check out tortie videos on our You Tube channel.
Look out for the next Tortie of the Week next week!
