‘The Dora’ is Tortie of the Week

Our final Tortie of the Week for August is ‘The Dora’, who lives with her owner Hayley in Mount Pleasant.

The Dora

The Dora was born on October 1st 2006, but it wasn’t until August 1st 2019 that Hayley found her when on a visit to the vet to pick up some heart medicine for her dog.

Hayley immediately felt a very strong connections and was delighted when she found that The Dora was available for adoption.

Her previous owners had taken in a puppy and moved away, leaving The Dora at the shelter. She had been passed around some of the staff, but no-one was willing to adopt her as The Dora was 12 years old at the time and most people wanted younger cats or kittens.
