All the way from Melbourne, Australia

Mayora is Tortie of the Week
Our Tortie of the Week is Mayora, who lives with her owner Lyndel all the way over in Melbourne, Australia!

Mayora
Mayora is now seven years old, and Lyndel adopted her from The Lost Dogs Home in Melbourne (they also rescue cats).
At the time, she was a skinny little girl playing with a piece of string, now the only toy she likes is an old bit of string.
She is cheeky, feisty and funny and she is also very loving and loyal. She loves her Mum and her little tabby sister Molly, despit the odd fight.
Visitors also have to respond to warnings, a little pat from them goes a long way. Once Lyndel heard a tiger sound and a scream and saw her hanging off a visitors sleeve, because they took her chair!
Thanks so much to Lyndel for sharing these details of Mayora, it is great that we have members of the Tortie Club all of the world including Australia and New Zealand.
In fact, Coco, the cover star of the Tortie Catz Calendar 2026 lives in Australia and we have sent some copies over there! The launch discount has now ended on the calendar, but you can still buy it on the Tortie Catz Calendar page for £9.95 (about $13.50) plus shipping on our website. It is also available on Etsy.
As ever, there are lots more tortie pictures on our X, Facebook and Instagram pages. You can also check out tortie videos on our You Tube channel.
Look out for the next Tortie of the Week next week!
