Kleo is Tortie of the Week

Our Tortie of the Week is Kleo, a 1½ year old Libra with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Kleo lives with her owner Mercedez in Las Vegas and she has quite a story to tell

Born in Pahrump, Nevada, Kleo’s story began under unusual circumstances - she was found living under a porch with her four kitten siblings. Their mother was never found but fate had other plans.

Mercedez first saw her on a rescue site, listed as a male, and she named her “Milo”. But after bringing her home - and doing a bit of research - she realized this little “guy” was actually a girl .That’s when Kleo’s true identity (and sass) really started to shine.

To bring her home, Mercedez and her boyfriend drove five hours round trip from Las Vegas, and she's been following her from room to room ever since.

Kleo is endlessly curious - if Mercedez is cooking, she’s perched nearby, intensely studying the art of egg-cracking and whisking like it’s a science experiment.

She has a few guilty pleasures too: chewing on plastic (working on it!) and lounging on the windowsill, where she watches birds and the world go by. Sometimes, hummingbirds fly right up to the glass, as curious about her as she is about them.

Her favourite toys are anything with feathers, her go-to treat is Churu, and her best friend is Kodak, their 6-year-old Cockapoo. They make an unlikely but adorable duo.

Kleo is sweet, sassy, and fiercely independent. She’s not shy about setting boundaries - you’ll only get pets in her world when she says so.

Kleo has truly brought so much joy. For a cat who started out under a porch, she now rules the house - with love, curiosity, and just the right amount of attitude.💖
