Baby is Tortie of the Week

Our Tortie of the Week is Baby, a beautiful and very loving tortie who lives with her owner Brenda and her husband.

Baby was adopted from a county animal shelter in 2021 and she has been a major source of comfort and unconditional love since then.

She knows the household routine and will remind Brenda of her eating schedule as well as altering them to when she wants a window open so she can lay on her ‘perch’. This means she can get close up to the fresh air and whatever is going on outside.

Baby is very clever and seems to understand a lot of what Brenda and her husband say - she also knows the names of a lot of her toys!

She loves company and when she hears someone come to the house she will run to the living room and greet them so that she gets her share of attention. Does your tortie do this?

She is very affectionate and comes to Brenda many time when she is on the computer in the evening. She will meow and lay on her side next to her chair so that she can give her a good scratching, petting and talk to her.

They have a sunroom at the back of the house where Baby loves to watch the birds and squirrels throughout the day and takes a lot of her naps out there
